Industrial grade Usage:

1. In ceramic applications, sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) can be used as a dispersant and an anti-flocculant in clay and ceramic suspensions. It helps to improve the flow properties and stability of the clay paste, making it easier to use in the ceramic manufacturing process.

2. Sodium hexametaphosphate can be heated with sodium fluoride to produce sodium monofluorophosphate, which is an important industrial raw material.

3. Sodium hexametaphosphate in the paper making, textile, printing and dyeing, petroleum chemical, metallurgy and construction material industries as a water softener, flotation agent, dispersing agent and high temperature adhesive.

4. Sodium hexametaphosphate is widely used as scale inhibitor in the water treatment industry.
